Pocket (free): Technology to help you get and stay organized!

Pocket is both an application for your phone and a bookmarklet tool on your desktop. It allows you to label a webpage with a tag, "Artists to Contact" for example, and categorizes them by that label for easy accessibility later! 

How to use Pocket: As you browse Art Urbane or online and you find products you want to add to your store or content to post on social media, simply save/drop it into Pocket. We recommend downloading the phone application AND the desktop bookmarklet!

2. AUTOMATE & SHARE CONTENT 

Recommended Applications for Organization & Automation: 

Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Buffer Automate: Buffer or HootSuite (free) - Automation is everything! When you are ready to schedule the content that is saved in Pocket, Buffer offers the ability to post and schedule posts to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others at the same time for future posts! (Hootsuite is free for three social platforms - we recommend Instagram, Facebook and Twitter or Tumblr.

Pinterest Automation: Tailwind is a powerful application to automate your postings on Pinterest. You would download this application AND the bookmarklet within Hootsuite's App Directory. Pinterest automation is the only platform that requires you to dig around to find the right application for you to schedule posts. Tailwind is currently $15/month. (Here's a $15.00 discount)

3. RECOMMENDED DESKTOP/BROWSER TOOLS

We highly recommend the following bookmarklets to download to your desktop browser (we recommend Chrome, which offers many free plug-ins):

If you use Chrome, you can search and download the following here. 

The top right of your browser should look something like this: 

Shorten your URL: Go to Bitly.co and sign up for a free account. Copy and paste your store's URL into Bitly. It will generate a short code that will look much better to place in your Instagram page description as a URL then the longer version. If you create an account with Bitly and use it to shorten other links, you will be able to track where visitors come from.
