I first conceived of Art Urbane as a marketplace where sales from an artwork or design fund a public art project (murals, museums, art education) in the buyer's city, which it still does today. I saw this creative, circular model as a no-brainer to help solve the lack of federal and state funding for the arts. However, my background as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence and VP of Venture Management working with and supporting business owners prompted me to assist aspiring, creative entrepreneurs seeking a road map to launch a creative, e-commerce store. Knowing the time, money and work necessary to create a successful ecommerce company, I saw an advantage in collaboration in lieu of a competitive mindset. As a whole, we can accomplish so much more if we work together - we could paint whole cities. I believe everyone has the ability to run a company, and sometimes all it takes is others like you coming together. That is the soul and purpose of Art Urbane. We provide you the business backbone to build your own online company, and it doesn't get more inspiring for us than to watch you grow. |

The Art Urbane Creative Network Marketplace was built to provide creative, independent entrepreneurs and businesses an innovative technology to leverage and market each other's online stores.
We provide a technology platform for entrepreneurs to share their portfolio of artists with other entrepreneurs, who are incentivized to share the works with their network.
It's a web economy proliferating sales of art and design, and accordingly, expanding access to the online art economy to independent, creative entrepreneurs. Without extensive resources, entrepreneurial collaboration is the only way to compete with large eCommerce companies and enjoy the freedom of an online commerce business. Moreover, the more online companies are built, the higher the competition and costs of advertising, (making brand recognition and customer traffic increasingly more difficult and competitive).
